Tell him anything. He's listening.

What worries you and what brings you joy. What you tell no one else. Call and speak out loud, or write to him as you would to the person you trust most, at any hour of the day or night. He answers calmly and warmly, helps you sort through what's in your heart and guides you so you never walk alone.

  • Call: hear his voice while a star of light breathes with you
  • Write: a calm chat to tell him everything, without hurry
  • Help now: if you're going through a hard time, real help one tap away

Candles and altars

A candle burning for everyone you love.

For your mom, who is ill. For the job you've been hoping for. For your dad, who is no longer here but is still with you. Light your candle, write your intention and watch it glow day after day. Every time you pray, your candle burns brighter.

Four altars for everything you carry inside

  1. Altar for the departed: lit candles bearing each loved one's name

    Altar for the departed

Their photo, their name, their years, just like the altar at home. A candle for their rest, so their memory keeps burning.

  2. Family altar: a golden altarpiece with a candle for mom, for Tony and for Lupita

    Family altar

A candle bearing each name: mom, your son, your sister. Your whole family, held in prayer.

  3. Prayer requests altar with Our Lady of Guadalupe and lit votive candles, each with its label

    Prayer requests altar

Health, work, papers, a home. What you ask of God, written on your candle.

  4. Community altar: countless candles lit by people from many places

    Community altar

People from many places light their candles here. Pray for their intentions and let others pray for yours.

Candles that keep praying when you can't.

Each candle holds an intention and keeps it burning, day and night. A 24-hour candle for what troubles you today. A seven-day candle for what keeps you up at night. A thirty-day pillar candle for the requests that need time. And in the Candle portal, the saints' candles (Saint Jude, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Saint Michael…), each with its story and its prayer. Light yours and let its light speak for you.

Frequently asked questions

What you might be wondering

What is Candle & Prayer?

A Catholic app to accompany your faith every day: praying the rosary and other prayers, lighting candles for your intentions, your family and loved ones who have passed, reading the Bible, listening to stories and having a space for reflection. We're preparing it in Spanish and English.

Is it available yet?

Not yet. We're turning the prototype into the first version of the app. If you join the waitlist, you'll be among the first to know when you can download it.

Is talking with Jesus a real conversation?

No. It's a representation created with artificial intelligence, and we always say so on screen. It is not Jesus who answers, nor is it communication with God; it can make mistakes and does not replace prayer, the sacraments, or the guidance of a priest or a professional.

What will I be able to do in it?

Everything you need to live your faith, in one place. Talk with Jesus about what weighs on you or brings you joy. Pray the rosary with a voice beside you, your novenas and the prayer of the day. Light candles for your family, your departed loved ones and your intentions. Read the Bible and the great classics of faith. Listen to its stories as if you were there. And learn and study the faith through play, level by level, as you follow your path of prayer day by day.

Will it be free?

There will be free features and paid features to sustain the project. We haven't decided exactly which ones yet; we'll explain it clearly before launch.

How do contributions work?

Tap “Contribute”, choose the amount on Ko-fi and pay by card through its secure checkout. You get a receipt by email and we never see your card details. Every contribution helps Candle & Prayer reach more people.

When will I be able to use it?

We don't have a set date yet, and we don't want to promise one we can't keep. People on the waitlist will be the first to know.

What data do you keep if I sign up?

Only your email, what you're interested in, your language and how you found us. We don't ask about your beliefs, your intentions or your family. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Some lights deserve to keep burning.

If you'd like Candle & Prayer on your phone (and on your mom's), join today. We'll only write to tell you how it's going.
